Getting a large flat screen TV is increasingly more affordable and is becoming a common place in millions of homes. But what many parents don't realize is that those TVs can cause a serious injury or even death when tipped over by a child.
According to a study conducted around the world TV‐related injuries among children are on the rise. In the US more than 17,000 children under the age of 18 are treated in ER for various TV-related injuries ‐ that's one child every half hour.
To prevent their children from getting hurt parents are encouraged to stabilize the TVs in their homes. One way is by mounting the flat‐screen securely on the wall.
